Felicity Hennessy

Felicity  grew up on a sheep property in Western Districts Victoria, before moving to Naracoorte in South East SA and then to merino stud, Collinsville, located north of Burra in the Mid North SA. Since then she has lived in Adelaide the Flinders Ranges and in Moree New South Wales before returning to Adelaide.

Felicity worked as Operations Manager for an Australian company managing 30 cropping properties for an international fund based in Moree NSW. During this role she marketed 45,000 tonnes of grains, oilseeds and cotton (and was a client of Agfarm) among a number of other operational responsibilities. She has also travelled through the US corn belt gaining insight to US cropping operations.

Felicity spent four years working at Elders Ltd trading commodities and foreign exchange derivatives and advised growers’ in grain, wool and cattle risk management. She managed a $2 million wool book creating physical forward products for growers’ and directly marketing clients’ wool to overseas mills.

Felicity has also undertaken study trips to China and South Africa and worked in the South Australian State Parliament for the Opposition Minister for Agriculture. She has a Bachelor of Economics in International Agricultural Business from Adelaide University, a Diploma of Financial Services, a Certificate II Business, a Certificate III Government and is PS146 in Derivatives and Foreign Exchange compliant.

As a client of Agfarm, Felicity experienced first-hand the benefits to growers’ on the east coast and wanted to join the team to bring these services to her home state of South Australia.
